![]() ![]() The electronics are where I am most pleased. I haven't had a car with this style mirror in 20 years and didn't know and were made like this. I'm disappointed it came with a 1980s plain-Jane rear view mirror that doesn't dim headlights. I was very pleased to see it wearing Bridgestone Alenza tires, which likely contribute to the smooth ride. I like the 18" wheels rather than the 20" because we have younger drivers and I'm tired of driving scratched up rims from curb hits. Coming off a cloverleaf onto the freeway and you will not want to floor it because you'll catch traffic too fast. It has a very smooth ride and the V6 w/ 9 speed automatic is surprisingly quick. It says it's an AWD but this is the first AWD I've seen with a 4X4 selector switch. ![]() The plastic mats, while all the rage these days, are not really our style. We got the LT leather package which is a great balance of value versus luxury. The space under the back for storage is very deep. The tow package is modern and hidden until needed. It seats 4 people very comfortably, 6 nicely, and 7 if we were in a pinch. It's a little longer than a Durango but seems to be much more spacious inside. But considering the vast difference in price, I am very pleased with my choice. If Money wasn't a consideration I would take the Kia first, the Traverse 2nd and the Highlander 3rd. The Captains chairs are the most comfortable and the rear seat is not only the largest, but the most accessible. The rear seats and room are superior on the Traverse. It doesn't have the athleticism, nor does it have the amazing technology of the Kia, but it's also $20k less. The body roll on the Highlander is much worse. The ride is smooth although some noticeable body roll when turning, but it's minimal. Overall, the interior is also the quietest of the 3. However it didn't have the price tag either. Does it have the refinement of my family members' cars, no. My main reason for my purchase, it was the only 7 seat SUV with captains chairs under $40k. My parents have a 2019 Highlander XLE and my sister has the 2020 Kia Telluride SX. Want to learn more about the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox?
